Best characters for Primordial Jade Cutter in Genshin Impact 2.5
By Andrew Lin
The Primordial Jade Cutter is a five-star Sword in Genshin Impact that will be featured on the first Weapon Banner in 2.5. It’s not an event exclusive weapon, so is it worth Wishing for? If you have any of the following characters, it may be.
Best characters for Primordial Jade Cutter
Primordial Jade Cutter is a classic “stat stick”. It doesn’t have a flashy effect; it instead offers just a robust assortment of stat buffs. Here are its stats at Lv. 90 and Refinement 1:
Primordial Jade Cutter
- Base Attack: 542
- Crit Rate: 44.1%
The user’s HP is also increased by 20% and then is granted an additional Attack Bonus equal to 1.2% of their max HP.
The HP scaling can get massive at higher levels, so it’s advised to get whoever’s wielding it to Lv. 90/90. Speaking of wielders, who can best use Primordial Jade Cutter?
That’s a trick question: almost every Sword user in the game can take full advantage of Primordial Jade Cutter.
Both on-field and off-field DPS characters want Primordial Jade Cutter. The high Crit Rate sub-stat even makes it viable for non-Attack scaling characters like Albedo.
Primordial Jade Cutter used to be the best weapon on Keqing, but Mistsplitter Reforged has beaten it out just slightly. It’s still amazing on her and in my opinion, it looks better aesthetically.
As a five-star weapon, the Cutter’s high base stats can also help bolster support capabilities. Jean has naturally high HP, letting her make better use of it than most characters. That Crit Rate is great for Qiqi, especially builds using the Ocean-Hued Clam artifacts.
Bennett is another character who can take full advantage of the split scaling, as his Elemental Burst Inspiration Field scales from Max HP and Base Attack.
You can pretty much give anyone the Cutter and have a great time, but there are a few specific characters and builds that have negative synergy with it.
Cryo characters on Blizzard Strayer like Ayaka and Kaeya won’t be able to use the Crit Rate bonus well, as they naturally gain Crit Rate from their abilities and artifacts. It’s easy to hit diminishing returns in this case. Xingqiu specifically wants Sacrificial Sword instead to maximize Energy yield.
So is Primordial Jade Cutter worth Wishing for? It can be had in the Standard Banner, but you’ll be contending with a pool of five-star characters or weapons. If you can use both Kagura’s Verity and Primordial Jade Cutter, it’s a solid choice to go for during 2.5’s first Weapon Event Banner.
