Looking to add Gardevoir or Gallade to your collection in Pokemon GO? There are two methods you need to know if you want to get the right evolution of Kirlia. Here’s how to evolve Kirlia in Pokemon GO.

How to evolve Kirlia in Pokemon GO

Kirlia has two forms: Gardevoir and Gallade. To get the specific form you want, you’ll need different materials.

First things first: you need 25 Ralts candy to evolve it into Kirlia, and then another 100 to evolve it to the final form of your choice. Keep in mind that the special Top Hat and Bowtie Kirlia cannot evolve.

Gardevoir

To get Gardevoir, feed any Kirlia 100 candy to evolve. That’s all you need to do.  This evolved form of Kirlia is Psychic and Fairy type, and has better match ups compared to Gallade. Gardevoir’s Fairy typing enables it to be strong against Dragon, Dark and Fighting types at the cost of being weak to Steel.

Gallade

Getting Kirlia to evolve into Gallade is similar, but only male Kirlia can evolve into Gallade. You’ll also need a Sinnoh Stone in addition to the 100 candy, which is the difficult part of this process.

Sinnoh Stones can be pulled from friend Gifts or as Special Research rewards when they’re offered. You can also earn Sinnoh Stones during Research Breakthroughs or as a reward from completing Trainer and Team Leader battles.

Gallade is Psychic and Fighting type. It’s more offense-based than Gardevoir, but is more fragile in comparison. It can take on the Steel types that Gardevoir has a hard time with, and the Fairy moves it knew as Kirlia can help in some situations against Dragon types.

Both are competent choice if you’re gearing up for Trainer battles. Gardevoir is stronger in Great League, whereas Gallade is a bit better in Master League. Both are fine in Ultra League.
