Kagura’s Verity is a first for Catalysts: it’s the first five-star to feature Crit Dmg as its sub-stat. Let’s take a look at its stats at Lv. 90 and Refinement 1.

Using an Elemental Skill gives a stack of Kagura Dance, up to three times. Each stack increases Elemental Skill Damage by 12% for 16, and when three stacks are reached an additional 12% Elemental Damage bonus is granted.

The characters who can make the most of the Kagura’s Verity will be DPS units with short Skill cooldowns. There are only two characters who can trigger all three stacks as of 2.5: Yae Miko and Lisa.

Of course, this weapon is made for Yae Miko. Her Elemental Skill, Sesshou Sakura, has a short four second cool down. You’ll be able to hit all three Kagura Dance stacks before the Skill Damage bonus expires. Sesshou Sakura also gets stronger the more you place, amplifying damage several times over.

Similarly, Lisa is another Electro Catalyst user with short cool downs. Lisa’s Elemental Skill, Violet Arc, only has a one second cool down. Hitting an enemy with it gives them the Conductive condition up to three times, conveniently how many times you need to cast a Skill to max out Kagura’s Verity.

From here, you hold the Skill down to deal massive Electro damage, bolstered with the bonus Elemental and Skill Damage.

Klee, Constellation 4 Sucrose, Constellation 2 Ningguang and Kokomi can hit two stacks of Kagura Dance, but after that it’ll be difficult to get further damage. The stacks only buff Skill damage, so you really can only use one stack in these cases.

I think Kagura’s Verity is a powerful weapon in a landscape where too few characters can really use it. As a five-star Weapon, Kagura Verity will be a fine choice for most characters due to its high base stats, but high Refinement copies of four-star weapons may provide better synergy and even damage in some cases.
