A ways back you may have noticed me lamenting about the fact that Pokemon Home was borderline useless. See, the app had a little problem. You could upload just about any Pokemon from Pokemon GO into it, and, when they added Furfrou, a problem occurred in the fact you could upload it in its various form. Unfortunately, they never released the ability to change it into Heart Form. But, Pokemon GO, being run by ILCA, didn’t bother thinking about that and added that option anyways.

The problem here is that trolls took advantage of this as a way to turn Pokemon Home into a way to show off their shiny collection. By uploading any rare Pokemon to the app and setting it for trade with the Heart Form Furfrou, you could show off a Pokemon knowing it can’t be nabbed.

Well, Pokemon GO’s recent event snuck in the ability to change Furfrou into Heart Form and most of those trolls never got the memo because I used up all my surplus stardust changing Furfrou’s into Heart Form, uploading them into GO, and just snagging whatever rare shiny I’ve always wanted.

I’m sure, eventually, these people will start noticing but until then, you know what? They’ve made a super useful trading app into a horribly useless download by flooding the market with things you can’t get and I have no love for trolls.

So what do YOU do if you want pretty much any shiny?

Get on Pokemon GO and either catch one of the Furfrou’s running around or use one you caught in last year’s Furfrou event. Change it to Heart Form, which costs 10,000 Stardust and 25 Candies. Go into settings and select Pokemon Home and transfer that Furfrou. From there, get on Pokemon Home, look up whatever Pokemon you’ve always wanted a shiny for, and “yoink”.

So far I have a shiny Khangaskhan, a shiny original Voltorb, a shiny Bisharp, a shiny Staryu, two shiny Sobbles, a shiny Rowlet, and a shiny Blacephalon (don’t judge me).

But why not go ahead and take a look. I’ve been trying to message ILCA about when they plan on getting rid of this problem and, well, looks like we can do it for them and get some free shinies. Just, get them while they’re hot. It’s going to take all of two seconds for other people to realize this.
