Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 2 release date, details and additions

Call of Duty: Vanguard is set to kick off their second season already. It feels like just yesterday Call of Duty: Vanguard was released and now we have officially surpassed the 3-month mark since its release back on November 5, 2021. February 14 will not only be Valentine’s Day this year, but it will also serve as the kickoff date for Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 2.

The Official Call of Duty Twitter shows the layout for what Season 2 will look like with everything new coming in Warzone, Vanguard multiplayer, and Vanguard Zombies. It is clearly going to be a jammed packed season and it is officially less than one week until it kicks off.

Warzone Additions

• 3 new map locations
• 2 new game modes
• New Bomber vehicle
• Search and Deploy Event

Warzone will have a variety of new additions to the new season starting off with 3 new map locations. Players will now be able to dive into Chemical Factory (Caldera), Research Labs (Caldera), and Rebirth Reinforced (In-Season). A change of scenery is always nice when it comes to battle royale games. These new locations will definitely be a hot spot as gamers always want to check out the near areas on the map. Perhaps one of the most interesting additions Warzone will feature is the addition of the Bomber vehicle. Players will be able to control a Bomber airplane and travel across the map in style.

Multiplayer Additions

• 2 new maps
• 2 new game modes
• Valentine’s Day content drop
• New Gamma vehicle

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Vanguard will see the addition of Gondola and Casablanca. These maps appear to be polar opposites. Gondola is a snow-based map that takes place at night, while Casablanca takes place mid-day in the city of Casablanca located in Morocco. It will be interesting to see how players adapt to these new maps. If you take a look at the photo of the Gondola map, there are gondolas hanging with the potential to transport players across the map. There is always a chance that those are there for show but given the name of the map I would assume players would be able to ride on one of these to travel around more quickly.

Ranked Play and Arms Race (Motorcycles and Tanks) will also be added. If you are feeling a little more competitive than usual, you may want to try out Ranked Play. If you want to go blow some stuff up, maybe Arms Race is more your speed. Controlling a Tank in Call of Duty: Vanguard sounds like it would be extremely fun, but as far as what you will have to do in the game mode will be determined once everyone gets the chance to play it for themselves.

You can’t obviously kickoff the new season on Valentine’s Day without having some Valentine’s Day content so that is something else gamers will be able to gear themselves out in. Which brings me to the last thing being added to multiplayer which is a new Gamma vehicle.

Zombies Additions

• Zaballa the Deceiver Enemy
• 3 new arenas
• 2 wonder weapons
• Story Quest
• New Objective
• New Ally
• New Artifact

Zombies is perhaps getting the most additions of any mode and something that fans will be happy to see if the beloved Ray Gun will be making its return. If you were running out of things to do in Zombies, no need to fear any longer. Soon you will be able to embark on an all-new adventure that will see new weapons, enemies and allies.

Other additions

Some other key notable additions that should be taken note of are the three new weapons, three new operators, 3 new bundles, and 2 new perks. There is no secret that this is going to be a massive update, but that is with all good reason. Typically, when kicking off a new season in a video game, you tend to make major changes. These major changes entice gamers to continue on playing their game. Without change, games would get stale and there wouldn’t be a good selling point to ever purchase a Season Pass.
