Call of Duty: Warzone has officially kicked off their holiday event, which will continue through January 4. This holiday event is being called Festive Fervor and while it adds a whole bunch of event challenges and rewards. It also adds a popular legend, Krampus, to the Battle Royale as well.

If you are familiar with who Krampus is, then you know you don’t want to be on the naughty list come Christmas season. He’s a popular legend in Central and Eastern Alpine. He terrorizes children who misbehave during Christmas season. He is a giant, hairy, demonic horned beast — definitely a creature that no one who would want to come in counter with. Unfortunately, Krampus is in Call of Duty: Warzone and isn’t afraid to come and hunt teams down for being on the naughty list.

If you play on the new Caldera or Rebirth Island map on Call of Duty: Warzone, you will notice a message pop up on the screen during the first few minutes of every Warzone game that states “Krampus is hunting!” The Krampus hunts any team in the game at random. However, if you acquire random Holiday Fir Coal loot that appears on the map from the Festive Fervor event, you will have a greater chance to be hunted down by the Krampus himself.

Always remember that you can’t hunt down the Krampus, the Krampus can only hunt down you. When the Krampus feels like it is your turn to be hunted down by the demonic beast, a message will pop up on your screen stating, “Krampus is hunting you!” Along with the message is a 3-minute timer meaning that the Krampus will continue to hunt you down until either Krampus is killed, or the timer expires. The best bet is to just kill him and get it over with as quickly as possible, especially since there is a major reward for doing so.

How to kill Krampus in Call of Duty: Warzone

The easiest way to kill Krampus is to lure him into an open area. Krampus tends to teleport after a few seconds so being in an enclosed area is surely going to lead to demise. The next thing you are going to want to make sure you have is a lot of ammo. Krampus is going to eat a lot of your bullets that you put into him so being low of ammo is not going to help your cause on trying to defeat him. In the process on trying to kill Krampus, he will be throwing snowballs at you that does a decent amount of damage.

Finally, you will want to make sure that if you are playing with teammates, all teammates are on board and ready to take out this beast. Krampus will only target one player at a time so whoever is being targeted can both act as a distraction and put ammo into him along with the rest of your teammates so that he can get killed in a timely manner. If Krampus is killed within the 3-minute time limit, he will drop a plethora of cash, kill-streaks, ammo, and armor. The risk in killing him is definitely worth the rewards that you get.
