The Cleveland Browns have a rich history in the NFL. Unfortunately, not all of it is a pleasant history. Historically, Cleveland fans haven’t had much to celebrate and despite sitting in second place in the AFC North this season, it just feels like the team is on the verge of a late season collapse.

But for fans looking for a little solace right now, we’ve got some good news in the world of Madden. EA released the latest player ratings updates, reflective of Week 14, and Myles Garrett is officially a member of the 99 Club in Madden 22.

The 25-year-old defensive end is the first Browns player to ever achieve the perfect Madden rating and it’s certainly well deserved. He’s been one of the most consistently best pass rushers in the league since being drafted with the first overall pick in 2017. Since then, he’s posted double digit sacks in four of his five seasons in the league.

This year, Garrett has already notched 15 sacks, the most in his career and the most ever by a Browns player. He’s just one sack behind the league’s current leader this season, T.J. Watt (16). Despite his stellar career so far, Garrett continues to find ways to impress on the field, including scoring his first ever career touchdowns in Week 14.

Garrett saw his overall in Madden 22 increase by one point to a perfect 99 rating. His hit power went up from an 81 to an 84 and his block shedding increased from 89 to 90. Here’s what Madden 22 ratings adjustor Chad Ochocinco had to say about Garrett’s career year.

Some other notable ratings adjustments from Week 14 include Vikings running back Dalvin Cook getting a one point boost to his overall, bringing him to a 96 rating. His carrying, awareness and ball carrier vision all increased one point. Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny, who is finally healthy, also increased one point to a 73 overall with increases to his awareness, break tackle and ball carrier vision.

Garrett joins Aaaron Donald, Davante Adams, Jalen Ramsey and Travis Kelce as the only players in Madden 22 with a perfect 99 overall rating. With a couple of more weeks remaining in the NFL season, expect to see more changes to player ratings in Madden 22.
