Meta (and Dr. 6DOF, I suppose) have announced that the very first Quest Day, featuring inventions for the Quest 2 headset, will be on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 9 a.m. PST (11 a.m. CDT / 12 p.m. EST).

An email from Meta on Dec. 11 states that Quest Day will be a “showcase of wild creations and free drops for Quest fans.” Furthermore, the Quest Day website’s tagline is “Absurd Drops for Real Affinities.” No one knows what these “wild creations” and “absurd drops” are.

The official Oculus Twitter page posted about Quest Day, but their description does not clarify anything either. Sidenote: I do hope it includes puppies.

There are a few restrictions for claiming these free drops. First, these items can only be shipped within the US. Second, you must be 18 or older to claim a drop. Finally, there is a limit to one drop per household.

The official Terms and Conditions for Quest Day state that in order to claim a gift, you must visit the Quest Day website, click on the “Claim It Now” button (as long as it is still available), and fill out the subsequent forms.

After viewing all the emails, websites, and social media posts, I am left with more questions than answers. What kind of inventions is Quest Day going to showcase? How often is there going to be a Quest Day? Who is Dr. 6DOF?

I am very intrigued, to say the least. It is going to be interesting to see what kinds of products will be revealed on Quest Day and how many will be available to claim. I honestly cannot even guess as to what is going to be shown because there has never been anything like this before.

Without a doubt, the marketing team has done an excellent job with Quest Day by making it so cryptic and confusing. I was completely lost when reading the email from Dec. 10 that began the announcement of Quest Day, so at least we now know what that was about.

If you are at all interested in claiming a free drop, I would recommend checking their Instagram right when the time hits or visiting the Quest Day website and seeing what happens from there.

Next. Medal of Honor for Quest 2. dark
