The NHL is a very global friendly professional sports league, and this has been shown both on and off the ice. EA Sports just released a major update for NHL 22 that will see the video game go global in a big way as well.

With the update officially going live on December 9, 2021, IIHF Men’s and World Juniors teams, federations, logos and uniforms will be available in Ultimate Team and World of Chel. These team rosters will be continuously updated in Play Now mode with all the latest additions once they are officially announced.  The IIHF Men’s World Championships will be playable in early 2022.

This is the biggest content update that NHL 22 has featured so far this year and it is good to see that EA Sports likes to add as much content to their games as possible. All NHL 22 players who log onto the game from now until January 10, 2022, will receive three IIHF items. These items are an 88 overall Auston Mathews Team USA HUT Card, an IIHF Ultimate Team Uniform Pack, and an IIHF World of Chel Uniform Bag. Tons of IIHF content that will allow you to represent and play as your favorite international teams.

In addition to all the international content that has been added to NHL 22, Roster Sharing and HUT Content Migration has also been added to the game. Roster Sharing allows gamers to upload and download custom rosters that were created by other users so that you are able to create the lineups that you have always dreamed of. This new feature truly makes the possibilities endless and will be sure to add a fun new twist to the NHL franchise.

As far as the HUT Content Migration goes, this is great for gamers who are playing NHL 22 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. HUT Content Migration allows the option for a ONE-TIME transfer of their HUT team value and progress to either the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X|S. Gamers are able to protect up to 20 players and 1 coach to be transferred over to the new console. As further stated on EA’s official NHL 22 website, “The rest of their HUT Team progress and inventory will be calculated and evaluated for determining the number of tradeable Packs to be rewarded in Ultimate Team on their new console.”
