Nintendo Black Friday 2021 sale kicks off with Switch bundle and game discounts
The official Black Friday is still days away, but Nintendo, like other retailers and brands, have kicked off its holiday savings early. Nintendo’s Black Friday deals are now live, bringing discounts to a number of best-selling Nintendo Switch games.
If you’re on the hunt for a Nintendo Switch, well, first off, good luck. Nintendo is offering a bundle that includes the Switch console plus a digital version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a three-month individual membership to Nintendo Switch Online for $299.99. As of this writing, I was able to find the bundle in stock online at Target but other retailers were either sold out or asking for much higher than the original price.
If you already own a Switch, then you can take advantage of the $20 discount applied to a number of games including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Maker 2, Paper Mario: The Origami King, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Splatoon 3, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and much more. These games can be purchased digitally through the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch, but most retailers will also be offering the sale on physical copies of the games.
Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, which allows you to turn your real world environment into a race course, is on sale for $59.99, a savings of $40. Ring Fit Adventure, which makes exercising fun by turning it into an adventure game, is also on sale for $54.99, a savings of $25.
Other great gifts that aren’t necessarily discounted, however, include new releases Metroid Dread, Mario Party Superstars, WarioWare: Get It Together! and the newly released Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl.
There’s also the newer Nintendo Switch – OLED Model available for $349.99. It’s not discounted but it is still available and offers an improved 7-inch OLED screen, 64GB of internal storage and enhanced audio.
This year’s Nintendo Black Friday offerings are pretty much in line with the past. The Switch bundle with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has now been offered three years in a row and we typically see discounts of $20 on most games. What will you be picking up this year?
