PlayStation Store Black Friday 2021 sale: Best PS5 and PS4 game deals

The PlayStation Store’s Black Friday 2021 sale kicked off today, discounting hundred of PS5 and PS4 games. There are over hundreds of games discounted up to 60%, including some very recent releases, like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Deathloop, and more.

2021 was another big year for PlayStation releases, so if you’re wondering what games are worth buying during this sale, here are my recommendations.

Deathloop ($29.99, $59.99)

A 50 percent savings on Deathloop is an incredible deal. Arcane Studios’ time-bending first-person shooter is a Game of the Year nominee and definitely worth jumping into. The story is compelling and the gameplay is fantastic. Deathloop is only available for PS5.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Standard: $29.99, $49.99 or Ultimate: 49.69, $69.99)

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was a PS5 launch title and sequel of sorts to Marvel’s Spider-Man. If you haven’t played Marvel’s Spider-Man, then definitely go with the Ultimate Edition as this will give you access to the first game and the Miles Morales expansion game. Both games are incredible and really make you feel like you’re swinging in the suit of both characters. With a full-fledged sequel on the way, this is a great time to buy in while it’s discounted. This purchase includes the PS4 and PS5 versions.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy ($38.99, $59.99)

Square Enix redeemed themselves with this one. If you’re looking for a fantastic single-player RPG, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is it. Take control of Star-Lord and play through a fun-filled cosmic adventure with emotional story moments and an intriguing cast of characters. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart ($49.69, $69.99)

The discount isn’t fantastic here, but Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is another Game of the Year nominee. this interdimensional adventure features an outrageous arsenal of weaponry and dynamic gameplay in which you travel across alternate dimensions and dimensional rifts. It’s one of the shining examples of a game that makes tremendous use of next-gen hardware.

• It Takes Two ($24.79, $39.99)
  • Another Game of the Year nominee, It Takes Two is a platform adventure created for co-op. If you have a buddy, this is a great game to play together.
• Life is Strange: True Colors ($38.99, $59.99)
  • A bold and emotional storyline in which you play as Alex Chen, a teen who has the supernatural ability to experience, absorb and manipulate the strong emotions of others, and attempt to solve a thrilling mystery. Check out our review!
• Returnal ($49.69, $69.99
  • Returnal released earlier this year. Housemarque’s roguelike shooter sees you crash land on a shape-shifting planet and fighting for survival. Every time you die, the planet and your equipment change, forcing you to adapt your playstyle.
