You have to be self-aware of what happens each round. When the round is starting to wind down, you have to realize that the round is going to end and potentially leave 1 zombie alive so that you can prepare for the next round. This is massive if you want to go on a deep run.

Leaving one zombie alive allows you to do quite a few things. If you didn’t have time to get any Perks during the round you were currently in, you can use this time to do so. You can also use this time to Pack-a-Punch any weapons that you want upgraded and even get any new weapons from the mystery box if you didn’t get that chance to do so either.
