Call of Duty: Vanguard: Best Zombies survival tips and tricks
Call of Duty: Vanguard has officially been released and gamers have already shelled out thousands of combined hours throughout the game’s release. A good portion of those hours have been logged into the beloved Zombies game mode that has made a return this year. The interesting thing about Zombies in Call of Duty: Vanguard this year is that for the first time in franchise history, the Zombies mode wasn’t developed by the main game’s developers. Call of Duty: Vanguard was developed by Sledgehammer games and the Zombies mode was developed by Treyarch Studios. Two companies that are very well educated in the Call of Duty franchise.
Zombies has been a staple in the Call of Duty franchise and something that definitely has evolved over the years. Every year the question always gets asked, will there be Zombies this year in Call of Duty? Luckily, for Call of Duty: Vanguard, the answer was yes.
Call of Duty games are 95% skill based with the occasional 5% luck factor. Nothing is ever 100% skill there is always some sort of luck involved even it is the ever so slightest. There are always things that can be done to improve your chances to win or improve your gameplay and the same can be said for the Zombies game mode. This year’s main Zombies map is called Der Anfang. Here are some of the best tips you can use to survive as long as possible in Der Anfang.
1. Don’t be afraid to spend Essence at the mystery box
The mystery box is going to be your best friend when you play Zombies in Call of Duty: Vanguard. There are usually options to buy certain lower tier weapons off the wall, but this year that option is not on the table. As the rounds progress, you are going to find yourself needing more powerful weapons than the one you start off with. You will be able to find these more powerful weapons in the mystery box.
If you are expecting to get the beloved Ray Gun from the mystery box, don’t get your hopes up. There is no Ray gun or any special weapons to obtain for now. However, that does not mean that there won’t be at any point in the future. If I know Call of Duty games well, there will eventually most likely be a special weapon to obtain somewhere down the line. The guns that are available in the mystery box rotation will more than help you fend off the horde so there is nothing to worry about in that sense.
