Target Black Friday begins: Best Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo deals

Black Friday has begun at Target. Well, technically, it’s what the retailer is calling “Holiday Best Deals,” a multi-week sales event that guarantees the best deals throughout the entirety of the holiday season rather than just a single day.

Target will be discounting a variety of items throughout the next couple of weeks with a holiday price match guarantee that states they’ll match the price if it goes lower at target before December 24.

Among the Holiday Best discounts highlighted right now up to 25% off TVs and up to 50% off headphones, but it looks like some savings can be had on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo games and peripherals. Here are some of the best video game discounts on the site right now:

Gaming Peripherals

Video Games

These are just some of the better discounts I found on Target’s website. Admittedly, there’s not a whole lot of really enticing discounts for video games right now. Deathloop is a fantastic game but you’re only saving $10 right now. Outriders and The Outer Worlds are also fun in their own respect so if you haven’t played them, they might be worth picking up.

Overall, this first wave of Holiday Best Deals for video games is pretty disappointing. I’m hoping the discounts pick up more as we get closer to the holidays and the actual day of Black Friday. I’m hoping some sort of buy one, get one 50% off deal or just greater discounts in general for some of these older titles.

It’s also unclear if these are the cheapest these current games will get. I don’t see any of them specifically labeled “Holiday Best,” so if you do buy one, make sure you check back frequently to see if the price drops even further throughout the season.
