How to play Pokemon Unite on PC
Pokemon Unite is a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) and traditionally speaking, PC is the best suited platform for this type of game. Unfortunately, Pokemon Unite is only available on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices like iOS and Android. As of this writing, the game has not been announced for PC, but that doesn’t mean you can’t play it on PC!
Thanks to technology, you can actually emulate Pokemon Unite to your computer. However, there are some things to know first.
Can you emulate Switch using Yuzu?
For Nintendo Switch, the most popular emulator in Yuzu. This is an experimental open-source emulator that’s still relatively new, and not fully stable. It also doesn’t support online functionality and seeing as how Pokemon Unite is an online game, it won’t work.
Bluestacks for Android
Your best option for playing Pokemon Unite on PC is Bluestacks.
Bluestacks is a free Android emulator. It’s been around for a while and has regular updates. Because this is an emulator, you will be playing the Android version of the game, but the really cool thing about Bluestacks is that you can play using your keyboard and mouse, or gamepad. There’s even a specific MOBA Mode with advanced settings. So even though you’re playing the mobile version, your getting a PC-like gameplay experience. This is, by far, the best way to play Pokemon Unite on PC, at least until it (hopefully) gets released for the platform.
Although it’s highly unlikely that Pokemon Unite will ever release on console, there’s a chance it could arrive on PC. Even though Pokemon is one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises — and for that reason is only offered on Nintendo consoles — the Pokemon Trading Card Game is available on PC. So it’s definitely possible that Pokemon Unite could one day release on PC as well. For now though, your best option is emulation.
