Philadelphia Eagles

8-9, 3rd place in NFC East

In his second season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Madden 22 predicts a solid increase in production from quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Not only did Hurts throw for 33 touchdowns in the simulation, but he also limited his turnovers to just eight interceptions. He also tacked on 271 yards on the ground, which I think is on the low-end for what he’s capable of.

The Eagles also have Gardner Minshew II and Joe Flacco on the roster which, in real life, seems like we could have some changes at the position should Hurts struggle. But Madden doesn’t think he will so the two backups didn’t see much on the field.

Heading into the offseason, the Eagles’ biggest issue was a lack of star power at the receiver position. So they went out and drafted DeVonta Smith. Madden 22 predicts 92 receptions for 994 yards and seven touchdowns for the rookie.

Meanwhile, the underrated Dallas Goedert is projected for 78 receptions for 849 yards and two touchdowns.

The pieces are starting to come into place for the Philadelphia Eagles and the rebuild is coming along. I think an 8-9 record is definitely possible for this team, and that would be quite an improvement over last year.

The thing I don’t like about this prediction is what it would mean for the Washington Football Team, which we’ll get to next.
