7-10, 2nd in the AFC West

With the Chiefs going 17-0, it’s not surprising to see the rest of the division with sub-.500 records. After going 8-8 last year, Madden predicts the Raiders will take a small step backward, which fans probably aren’t thrilled to see.

Derek Carr put together another solid season, throwing for 4,621 yards and 36 touchdowns to just 11 interceptions. His 58% completion percentage leaves something to be desired though.

The Raiders have a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball, so let’s just get right down to their predicted stats:

  • Henry Ruggs III: 77 receptions, 1,126 yards, 6 TDs
  • Hunter Renfrow: 76 receptions, 1,059 yards, 10 TDs
  • Darren Waller: 73 receptions, 944 yards, 4 TDs
  • Willie Snead IV: 45 receptions, 644 yards, 7 TDs

The Raiders’ downfall is their defense, which allowed the third-most points overall (472) and fifth-most yards (6,520). Granted, they went up against that record-setting offense in Kansas City, so we can’t expect too much.

For what it’s worth, I don’t expect the Chiefs to dominate as much as Madden predicts they will, so perhaps the Raiders will perform a bit better.
