Madden 22: Our 2021 NFL season sim results in some wild predictions
Miami Dolphins
7-10, 3rd in AFC East
Of all the quarterbacks in the league, no one faces as much criticism as Tua Tagovailoa. Entering just his second season, and his first as a starter, there are already talks of the Dolphins replacing Tua (possibly with Deshuan Watson). I don’t know why everyone is so keen on moving on from Tua, but in Madden, he gets a full opportunity to show what he’s got.
Unfortunately, it’s not much. The simulation predicts just 4,073 passing yards and just 23 touchdowns for Tua along with 13 receptions and a completion percentage of just 55%. That’s not going to win over many fans or convince his detractors.
Jaylen Waddle, who was drafted with the 6th overall pick, is predicted to have a solid rookie season. The simulation estimates 49 receptions, 673 yards and seven touchdowns for the rookie. Meanwhile, DeVante Parker, another receiver with high expectations, caught 67 passes for 820 yards and three touchdowns. The best receiver for the Dolphins was tight end Mike Gesicki with 74 catches for 918 yards and seven touchdowns.
A 7-10 finish for the Dolphins would certainly be disappointing for fans who are expecting the team to compete. With the Patriots going through their own rebuild, this is Miami’s window of opportunity. And if this simulation is any indication, that window is closing.
