Tennessee Titans

9-8, 2nd in the AFC South (No. 6 seed in AFC)

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t think the Titans will win the AFC South, so Madden’s prediction that they’ll finish second — behind the Jaguars of all teams — is really out there.

If we’re looking for a little normalcy, at least we can count on Derrick Henry, who Madden predicts will lead the league in rushing yards with 1,877. Once again, Henry was the workhorse for the Titans offense with 314 carries on the season and 16 rushing touchdowns.

Tannehill was surprisingly efficient under center, throwing for 3,728 yards and 33 touchdowns. His six interceptions is even more impressive.

One of the Titans’ biggest acquisitions this offseason was Julio Jones from the Falcons. It’s expected that Jones could help open up this offense if he remains healthy. He’s starting to get a little up there in age now, but he can still be effective when paired with A.J. Brown.

Here are some of the noteworthy player stats:

  • A.J. Brown: 67 receptions, 656 yards, 1 TD
  • Julio Jones: 48 receptions, 724 yards, 44 TDs
  • Josh Reynolds: 49 receptions, 724 yards, 7 TDs

The problem with the Titans is they don’t play any defense. In the simulation, they had the seventh-worst defensive unit, giving up 6,505 total yards and 440 total points.

The Titans actually split the season series with the Jaguars and had the exact same record; however, the Jaguars claimed first place with the better record against division opponents. As such, the Tennessee Titans enter the playoffs as the No. 6 seed in the AFC.
