4. Adam Larsson

Playing for the Seattle Kraken is going to be a grind for each of the players. No one really expects too much from the team this season as expansion teams in any sport are hard to be successful right away. The good thing for the Kraken is that Adam Larsson is used to being on the grind. He is no stranger to playing extra minutes in an NHL game either and is dependable should the team need him to.

It will be interesting to see how the Seattle Kraken decide to use Adam Larsson. It appears that the Seattle franchise has Larsson very high up on their totem pole as he already has a 4 year, $16 million contract with the team. Larsson hasn’t always been a big goal scorer, but his defensive skill and long minutes to go with that skill is going to help the franchise defensively — and that is something that the team will need help with in their first season.

Adam Larsson will most likely be paired with Mark Giordano on the Kraken’s first defensive line. Due to this factor, I think that there is no doubt that he would have to be rated a top five player on the team. I don’t believe that his overall will be extremely high, but high enough for a player on an expansion team. I expect to see Larsson around the low 80s overall in NHL 22.
