Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: My final Fighters Pass Vol. 2 character wishlist

With  finally announcing and releasing its penultimate character for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 and the announcement from Sakurai that this Fighters Pass will be the end of Smash Ultimate, we need to get crazy with who the next smash character is going to be right? So let’s speculate wildly and with only following the simple unspoken rule that all smash characters have appeared on a Nintendo console.

Sora – Kingdom Hearts

This is on just about everyone’s list for a character to join Smash. He would be fun but another sword fighter doesn’t seem necessary, also it would be fairly limited as none of the Disney properties could be used with him.

Yuri – Tales of Vesperia

A very popular character from a series that has only recently come to switch, originally at least here in the States was a 360 exclusive. Again another sword character but could be a great counter even to Link’s ranged attacks with his Artes.

Geno – Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

Easily the most requested character on every forum and in the comments as Kazuya was being announced. If this came with an HD remaster that would be acceptable as well. His playstyle would be something like Fox I assume, more ranged and pretty nimble.

Ryu Hayabusa – Ninja Gaiden/Dead or Alive

Alright I really like sword characters, don’t judge me. He would be quick with fast combos and you could use his karma attack as a final smash. Making it really cool would be if he could use his shuriken and some of his combos from Ninja Gaiden Sigma, you can do his attacks in quick succession in the likes of Lucina, or Joker.

Champions – Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild

These make too much sense to me, it’s Zelda’s 35th anniversary, there’s a multitude to choose from and Breath of the wild was a smash hit. Ideally, they would have a Pokemon trainer-type play style that would allow you to switch between them as needed, given their very different but situational play styles.

Some honorable mentions in my conclusion would be Monster Hunter, Jill Valentine/Chris Redfield, Noel Vermillion, Shy Guy, Spyro, and last but not least Mike Tyson.

These are my choices for smash characters and some of the logic I have around these choices. I also added a few parameters of they couldn’t be an assist trophy nor have a Mii costume for the fighters of choice (thus eliminating Dante, Lloyd, and Rathalos). Most of the reason for those parameters was to eliminate any and all traces of possibility of Waluigi on this list. Comment below your top picks and why you think this would be for the best.
