Knockout City Stays awesome and releases free player icons in honor of Pride Month

If you missed it, I’ve been playing Knockout City for a bit now and I LOVE the game. The 3-vs-3 formula may not appear to be anything you haven’t played before, scrapping the idea of weapons and replacing them with a ball. The ball can be thrown in various ways and can be caught to defend against, giving this third-person shooter the feel of a fighting game almost.

Not one to rest on their laurels, Velan Studios has done something super dope and honestly unexpected. On June 1st, in honor of Pride Month, the official Knockout City Tweet Page tweeted this out.

They dropped 21 free player icons allowing people of all sorts to let their flag fly. These icons, which were created for Pride Month will be permanent additions to the game that you can get via codes.

There’s a code for each of these in case there’s one, in particular, you wanna rep OR you can use the code at the end of the list to just get all 21. While I’m rocking the Demiromantic one, I downloaded every single one of them because it just makes me happy to see all of them appear in a video game like that.

I would have loved to have seen more things like vehicles and cosmetic items but, honestly, something like this, adding more than just a rainbow flag into the game, is an awesome move so good on Velan for this.

I know that my two kids who’ve been learning about different aspects of these things due to Pride Month got super stoked to see these added into the game and I’d love to see more things like this happen.
