There is no Play-In game more highly anticipated than this one. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis missing considerable time this season due to injury, the defending champion Lakers found themselves having to participate in the Play-In Tournament. They closed out the season having won their final five games but finished with the same record as the Portland Trail Blazers, who own the tiebreakers.

So LeBron James finds himself fighting for a playoff spot and going up against none other than the Golden State Warriors, led by Steph Curry. The rivalry between these two players is an epic one as they’ve gone toe-to-toe in four straight NBA Finals in recent years.

Curry has absolutely dominated on the court and has been on a tear towards the end of this season, picking up his second scoring title. With Curry shooting lights out and Draymond Green playing some intense basketball, the Warriors are a legitimate threat.

But NBA 2K21 believes they’ll fall to the Lakers. James is predicted to score 28 points with 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Honestly, I think that’s a real possible stat line for him. Anthony Davis, meanwhile, adds another 17 points and 7 boards.

Curry was held in check throughout the game, scoring just 18 points. The sharpshooter was an unusual 3 for 12 from beyond the arc, which I just don’t see happening. While I do expect the Lakers to pull out the win, I can’t imagine Curry will struggle as much as NBA 2K21 predicts he will.
