MLB The Show 21: Best power hitters in the game
Max Muncy (1B, Los Angeles Dodgers)
- Overall: 85
- Power R: 93
- Power L: 90
- Contact R: 48
- Contact L: 60
Max Muncy is quickly establishing himself as one of the better power hitters in the league. He hit 35 home runs in both the 2018 and 2019 seasons. The 30-year-old was also a big factor in the Dodgers World Series championship last year, powering them to a Game 5 win against the Rays.
Muncy has solid power ratings for MLB The Show 21. There are probably better options in terms of pure power, but he’s definitely worthy.
Brandon Lowe (2B, Tampa Bay Rays)
- Overall: 91
- Power R: 76
- Power L: 99
- Contact R: 67
- Contact L: 60
Brandon Lowe has quietly been emerging as one of the best hitters in the Majors over the past two seasons. In 2019, he hit 17 home runs in 82 games. Last year, he hit 14 in just 56 games. He’s not off to a great start this year, with just one home run in 16 games (and a .161 average), but it’s still early. Lowe is just 26-years-old, so he’s got tons of potential and room for growth. If you’re looking for a younger player with great power — especially against lefties — he’s a solid option.
