Nolan Arenado (3B, St Louis Cardinals)

  • Overall: 98
  • Power R: 75
  • Power L: 99
  • Contact R: 72
  • Contact L: 96

Since 2015, Arenado has not hit fewer than 37 home runs in a season (not including 2020). He’s already got four this season in just 16 games (as of this writing).

Arenado has tremendous power and contact against lefties, although he’s somewhat average against right-handed pitchers. Still, he’s got impressive contact and is a career .292 hitter in real life.

He’s also one of the top-rated players in MLB The Show 21 with a 98 overall. Arenado may not be the best pure power hitter in the game, but he’s definitely in the mix.

J.D. Martinez is just a consistently good hitter. He’s been in the league for over a decade and has a career average of .291 with 244 home runs.

Martinez has always flashed power, but more so in recent years. In 2017, he hit 45 home runs. In 2018, 43 home runs.  He had another 36 home runs in 2019 and so far this year he’s already at 6 (in just 15 games). Half of those home runs came in just one game.
