Juan Soto (LF, Washington Nationals)

  • Overall: 95
  • Power R: 99
  • Power L: 85
  • Contact R: 92
  • Contact L: 91

This is only Juan Soto’s fourth year in the Majors, and last year was a shortened season so we don’t have a very large sample size for Juan Soto. But in his limited time in the Bigs, Soto has already crushed 71 home runs. In last year’s shortened season, Soto led the Majors in Offensive WAR (3.2), Slugging Percentage (.695) and On-Base Plus Slugging (1.185). He also hit 14 home runs.

So he’s a pretty darn good hitter with really good power against right-handed pitchers. He only has two home runs on the year so far, but Soto is a great option if you’re looking for a really great contact hitter with a lot of power against righties.

Giancarlo Stanton (LF, New York Yankees)

  • Overall: 92
  • Power R: 90
  • Power L: 99
  • Contact R: 61
  • Contact L: 74

If you’re looking for power against left-handed pitchers, there’s probably no one better than Giancarlo Stanton. He also has 90 power against right-handed pitchers, so it’s not like he’s only one-dimensional. Unfortunately, Stanton has had a recent history with injuries of late, which has hampered his statistics.

He played just 18 games in 2019 and 23 games in 2020 (which was already shortened due to COVID). 2018 was his last full season and he hit 38 home runs. He led the league in home runs in 2017 with 59. Stanton will provide your lineup with plenty of power and RBI potential.
