Right Field

Rounding out the outfield and closing out our fielders, we have our right fielders. MLB.com has Acuna and Soto both listed as right field, but neither are there in MLB The Show 21. Instead, we have Mookie Betts leading the pack with a 98 overall, followed by Aaron Judge. Both players are off to a hot start this year and will likely be among the top-hitters in the game — not just at right field.

Betts gets the edge here with a 98 overall, while Judge comes in with a 97 overall. Both have tremendous power and the chance to change the game with one swing of the bat.

Bryce Harper, who once made history with a $300 million contract, comes in with a 90 overall. I think that’s fair for the 28-year-old who I think gets a pass most of the time on name alone. Harper is a career .275 hitter but hasn’t hit at or around .300 since 2017 when he batted .319. But he’s flashy and a big-named superstar, so he gets a ratings bump off that.

Rounding out the top five is Joey Gallo of the Texas Rangers and Michael Conforto of the New York Mets. Both players possess tremendous potential and are key to their respective team’s success. Conforto is off to an ice-cold start, along with the entire Mets offense, but once he heats up, things could quickly turn for the struggling New Yorker Mets.
