MLB The Show 21 ratings revealed: Top rated players at each position
Third Basemen
First of all, it is criminal how Vladamir Guerrero Jr. is not in the top ten of third basemen in MLB The Show 21. He checks into the game with a 74 overall, which is ridiculously low for a guy hitting .413 with three home runs, 10 RBIs and a 1.200 OPS. I originally had him as a first baseman in my predictions, but for some reason, he’s listed as third base in the game.
Anyway, as for the top ten third basemen in MLB The Show 21, the list isn’t too surprising. I had Anthony Rendon as the best player in the game with a 98 overall, but it’s actually Nolan Arenado who takes that honor. He’s followed by Manny Machado, who is a tad bit overrated in my opinion, with a 95 overall rating. Of course, the difference between Machado and Rendon is only one rating point, so it’s not a complete disrespect.
Rounding out the top five is Alex Bregman and Jose Ramirez, both with a 92 overall rating. Kris Bryant, who was once the Cubs bright spot, just makes the top 10 cut with an 85 overall. He’s off to a decent start this season, but he’s no longer the game-changing player everyone thought he would be. I also bumped this list to 11 because I figured you’d want to know where Justin Turner lands.
