The Windblume Ode is the second event-exclusive weapon that you can get during the eponymous Windblume Festival in Genshin Impact. Throughout the event, you’ll be able to refine this new Bow to its max potential. Our complete Genshin Impact Windblume Ode guide will give you everything you need to make the most of this weapon.

Genshin Impact: How to get the Windblume Ode

The Windblume Festival will run until April 5, but you’ll have until April 12 to redeem the bow. Like previous events, there are two event currencies you can obtain.

You need Peculiar Collab Coupons to buy the Windblume Bow, earned by completing the Peculiar Wonderland Challenge. You can earn up to the exact number of Coupons to buy everything in the shop by the event’s end.

Each time you clear a stage of Peculiar Wonderland Challenge, you’ll earn 200 Coupons. It doesn’t matter if you completely flub the mini-games; you’ll just miss out on the rewards from those challenges. You can earn up to 1,000 Coupons for each Challenge level by taking it on multiple times. The Windblume Ode itself costs 700 Coupons.

Genshin Impact: Windblume Ode stats

Windblume Bow, Lv 90, Refinement 1
  • 510 ATK
  • 165 Elemental Mastery

The Bow’s secondary stat is Elemental Mastery, and gives an attack bonus when using Skills.

At first Refinement, it increases the equipped character’s ATK by 16% for six seconds after using an Elemental Skill.

Windblume Ode isn’t a particularly strong weapon when compared to other four-star bows, but that’s the point. The best part about the Windblume Ode is that it’s totally free. Good weapons are hard to talk about in Genshin Impact since what any individual player gets is decided by the luck of the Wish system. Guaranteed playable weapons like this and Dragonspine’s Festering Desire are great for free-to-play players.

If you play through the event you can refine it into a beast of a weapon that can work with almost every archer.

Windblume Ode: How to Refine

If you can only get one Windblume Ode, how do you refine it? That’s where “The Visible Winds” come in. There are four you can buy from the shop for 500 Coupons each, letting you refine your Windblume Ode to the max.

Each Refinement level increases the ATK boost by 4%, with the fifth Refinement Windblume Ode giving a 32% ATK Boost.

Genshin Impact: Windblume Ode Strategy

Who’s best suited to wield the Windblume Ode? This weapon isn’t the absolute best for any of these characters, but it’s completely serviceable especially if you don’t spend money on the game or if you don’t have any of the top-tier choices. Since the Windblume Ode’s ability triggers on activating an Elemental Skill, any bow user with a short cool down or relies on their Skill is a good fit.

Windblume Ode is a great fit for support Fischl builds since Oz stays on the field after switching off Fischl. In my testing, when Oz attacks, the damage will be based on Fischl’s attack stat. Buffs on a character stay on even if they’re off the field, so Oz will still be taking advantage of the Windblume Ode’s triggered ability.

Tartaglia can use the Windblume Ode well and does a reasonable impression of the four-piece Heart of Depth artifact. His Elemental Skill changes his stance to melee, letting him dish out a ton of damage over many attacks. Since the ATK boost from Windblume Ode only lasts six seconds, Tartaglia can make the most of it.

You’ll want to play with the bow’s Elemental Mastery ability, so having a support character that can deal with constant Elemental effects will pair well with anyone you give this bow to. Venti is another good choice since Anemo is all about reactions.

Ganyu can’t use it that well since her main way of dealing damage is by using her second-level charged Bloom arrows. The buff duration is just a little too short for her to really use.
