3. Alexander Romanov (Montreal Canadiens, D, 77 Overall)

Alexander Romanov has played in all five games for the Montreal Canadiens so far. In those five games Romanov has 2 points (1 Goal, 1 Assist). Romanov is the type of player that isn’t afraid to throw his weight around and get a bit physical. Also in those five games Romanov is a +5 and has taken 16 shots as well.

As a defenseman, no one really expects you to score a ton of points. Of course accumulating points is always helpful when playing hockey, but a defenseman isn’t always known for being a big point scorer. The good thing for the Montreal Canadiens is that Alexander Romanov provides that big physicality to their team and isn’t afraid to get the puck to the net. Those two factors alone are qualities that any franchise would be lucky to have in a defenseman.

NHL 21 has granted Alexander Romanov with a 77 overall. Middle of the pack in the upper 70s is not terrible. After all rookies never tend to get super high ratings as it is. I think that the 77 overall that EA has given him is very fair and that he has potential to improve his overall as the season goes on depending on how well he plays going forward. If you decide to play as the Montreal Canadiens in NHL 21, you can guarantee that you will be checking players out of the arena with his big, physical build.
