Minecraft - Steve in Super Smash Bros.
Nintendo /

From “Super Smash Brothers Ultimate”
Looks Like Team Rocket is Blasting Off Again

When reviewing Smash Brother character, a visitor from Minecraft, Steve, I wanted to talk about the minecart in the Minecraft stage and that’s when I lucked on this screenshot where a Team Rocket garbed Mii road a Minecraft directly into a fake Smash Ball right before it exploded. Everything about this screenshot is just pure chaotic energy and I love it.

From “Animal Crossing: New Horizons”
We’re Going to Turn it on, We’re Gonna Bring You the Power

There is no particular story on this one here. I honestly just had this weird idea to use Harv’s Island as a tool to make the kind of picture with my islanders that you normally see from a company like Final Fantasy’s Shinra Electrical Power Company. I love it so much.

From “Paper Mario: The Origami King”
That Mushroom’s a Fun Guy

Paper Mario: The Origami King on the Nintendo Switch has some of the craziest writing of any Nintendo Property I’ve ever seen. The game is filled with detailed jokes, gallows humor, and, for the first time I’ve ever seen in a Mario game, a confirmed death that characters have to come to grips with. This screenshot here though captures one of the moments early in the game where I knew exactly what level of punnery I should expect.

Cyberpunk 2077
CD Projekt Red /

From “Cyberpunk 2077”
He Has a Mouth but I Must Scream

This picture literally signals the moment when I gave up. I really worked hard to play Cyberpunk 2077. I try. But there was this weird moment where I decided to look at my character in the mirror and assets like hair and hats all vanished from my model giving me this look that just seemed to be making fun of me for falling for it. It was one of my last screenshots of 2020 and I feel nothing captures the year quite like it.
