Minamoto No Yorimitsu

The Legendary Raiko is such a badass in her own right but is nothing short of a formidable opponent. Minamoto no Yorimitsu will be the first boss fight of DLC 2, Darkness in the Capital and again in a sub mission for a legitimate duel. She’s fast, she’s strong, and has several tricks up her sleeve that can easily derail your fight plan against her.

She too wields the legendary Sohayamaru sword, and rightfully so. What Yorimitsu can do as well, despite being a human enemy, is turn the arena into a dark realm. Once again, your ki regeneration abilities are hindered. She can also conjure her spirit and even yokai to attack you from her trusty soul core box. Yorimitsu is the awesome fusion of a mage and swordswoman. Some of the coolest abilities you can get from her are the Severing Spin and Sacred Bird Flight moves. Just as cool as they are, they are also deadly, especially when she performs them.

Blocking her attacks does work to an extent until she imbues her weapons with the purity element. She can easily dispel some of your buffs and not allow you to cast any additional ones until that status proc is off of you. I think I died one too many times to her because I forget she can even dispel my Quick Change Scroll.

My best advice is to either brute force her ki down to zero to remove the curse buff she has for a limited time and maintain your distance when she has the purity effect on her weapons.
