Ultimate Edition

The grandaddy of them all, the Ultimate Edition is priced at $89.99 and offers all the bells and whistles of the Cross-Gen Bundle plus more. It includes the current-gen version of the game plus the same next-gen upgrade path to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. It includes the Woods Operator Pack and Confrontation Weapons Pack, as well as the Land, Sea and Air Pack. You’ll also get the Battle Pass with 20 tier skips.

The Land, Sea and Air Pack contains nine items. Each pack contains an Operator Skin, Vehicle Skin and Weapon Blueprint.

I personally don’t care much for cosmetic items or skipping battle pass tiers, so this version doesn’t really appeal to me. If you’re a die-hard CoD player, maybe you don’t mind paying the extra price.

One last piece of advice before you buy Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, make sure you know what type of next-gen console you’re buying. If you’re buying the physical version of Black Ops Cold War, you’ll need to buy the PlayStation with Ultra HD Blu-Ray Disc Drive or Xbox Series X as the PS5 Digital Edition and Xbox Series S don’t come with a disc drive. There would be no way to insert your disc to upgrade. If you go digital with your Black Ops Cold War purchase, then it doesn’t matter what next-gen console you buy.
