Resident Evil has been one of the most successful horror franchises in the video game industry. Resident Evil has spawned 14 games in the franchise with a 15th Resident Evil set to release in 2021. Each game is different in its own way and each game has its own scare level. Some are scarier than others and some of the storylines are better than others.

If you are someone who likes to play the whole franchise from beginning to end, the games will obviously make more sense to you. Once you get a feel for the game, it will be hard to put these video games down. In fact, Resident Evil 4 is talked about being one of the best video games of all time. That is a pretty bold statement and opinion that people have, but they have this opinion for obvious reasons. The bosses in this video game are very well designed and are scary looking, along with the challenge that this video game gives you too just makes it that much more special. However, it is not the scariest game in the franchise.

If you are looking for a Resident Evil game that is going to give you chills and that eerie feeling then perhaps Resident Evil 7 is the game for you. Each game has its own scary feeling in its own way, but there is just something about Resident Evil 7 that makes it the scariest game in the franchise in my opinion. Being released in 2017 might have something to do with that too as the graphics are a lot more up to date than other games in the franchise.

Resident Evil 7 is going to keep you guessing where the story is going to go and what types of crazy turns it is going to take. Also, Resident Evil 7 is the best selling video game in the Resident Evil franchise. If you don’t know what Resident Evil game to play first, start from the beginning and play through them all.
