5. Pittsburgh Penguins

The other half of the 93 overall club is Sidney Crosby. That is right, just Crosby and Ovechkin are 93 overall and the only other player that his higher than they are is Connor McDavid at a 95 overall. I can’t leave the Pittsburgh Penguins off of a list about winning after their recent success and continue success over the years. I have played in multiple NHL tourneys competitively over the past few years and the Pittsburgh Penguins are always a team that someone decides to choose at some point just because Sidney Crosby can sometimes act like a cheat code. Choosing the Pittsburgh Penguins to play as also gives you Evgeni Malkin who is rated higher than what I previously predicted he would be months ago at a 91 overall.

Pittsburgh is a great team to play as if you want to get some wins and I assure you that playing as them will also help give you a feeling for the brand new game. You don’t always want to be the guy who constantly picks the best team in the game each time, but if you have never played an NHL game before and want to get the taste of getting your first win in NHL 21, the Pittsburgh Penguins are going to be a top option for you.

Summary

You can be successful and win with any one of the 31 NHL teams in NHL 21. You don’t have to be the best teams to win, but with a brand new NHL game that virtually no one has gotten to play fully yet, it is sometimes nice to get a few wins with some of the games best teams just so that you can get a feel for the game’s new mechanics. NHL 21 is set to release on October 16 and is going to be a game that all hockey fans are going to want to pick up.
