Conclusion

I honestly did not expect to like 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim as much as I did.

I played this game because Atlus West Twitter continuously tweeted about it, and I wanted to know what the big deal was. I am notoriously hard on games as well and fully expected to hand out another low score.

But as soon as I booted up the game and saw the art and played the combat I knew I had something special on my hands. The combat let me use my imagination and imagine whatever I wanted to see the combat look like (for the record, I definitely saw Neon Genesis Evangelion’s opening fight in my mind), and the story pushed the boundaries of normal and hit weird, which I loved.

Overall, I would highly suggest this experience for people who are looking for a great story with a wonderful combat system to keep you engaged.

9. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim excels at pretty much everything it attempts to do, and brings it all together very well. The story is brilliant and worth experiencing, while the combat is really where it is all at. If it were not for the lack of difficulty and over-reliance on time travel in the story, this may be the perfect game.. Atlas. . 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
