This should be relatively self-explanatory and also kind of obvious, but don’t leave anything on the ground you come across. It’s possible other games with plentiful items to pickup have left you scarred, thinking you’ll either be carrying too much useless garbage or run out of inventory space, Genshin Impact has you covered on both of those fronts.

Your inventory has a massive 30,000 slots, which trust me, will take you quite a while to fill up. Part of the reason it would take you so long is because most of the items you pick up will be used to further enhance other items. Lower rarity weapons and artifacts can be fed into higher rarity ones, ingredients can be combined to make various meals that will not only restore your health but grant a temporary boon, and ore can be brought to a blacksmith to refine into other useful items or gear.

There are over a 1000 chests littered across the world as well. While the rewards do scale based on your Adventure Rank and World Level, don’t wait to pick these up. Always open any and every chest you come across.
