 Yelena Belova’s Black Widow

There was a time shortly after Marvel Comic’s Civil War where Normal Osborne took advantage of all the craziness and took over the Avengers. He then went ahead and fulfilled every edgelord’s dream of filling the Avengers with traditional names taken by their villainous counterparts. Hawkeye’s costume and moniker, for example, were filled by Bullseye. Spider-man (who was an Avenger at the time) was replaced with Venom, Wolverine (who was also an Avenger at the time) was replaced by his angsty son.

Black Widow’s replacement was probably the easiest for Norman. Natasha’s “sister” Yelena Belova was trained to almost the exact same degree as her so when she stepped into the suit he had his Black Widow almost instantaneously. Except for a stark hair color change and some unique goggles.

Sure, it’s not too far removed from Black Widows other costumes but the fact that it goes up to the chin with the dark makeup mixed with that light hair really makes her a bit scary. Plus the goggles that she always wears actually make her look spider-like which is all the more intimidating. Sure, it probably wouldn’t be all that useful to constantly wear goggles like that but it’s their blind spot, not the players, right?
