5. Los Angeles Rams

This is a team that no one really expected to start the season out 2-0. In fact, many people thought they had a good chance to start out the season 0-2, but they quickly proved all the haters wrong. The Rams are not a team that are very high on my totem pole. I don’t hate the Rams, I don’t love the Rams, they are just one of those teams that I am indifferent on. If they have a good season then that is good for them and I will be happy for them, but they aren’t a team that I think will have that elite year despite already starting 2-0.

The Los Angeles Rams had a nice home win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 and they had an even better road win come week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Los Angeles Rams are trying to do better what they did last year finishing 3rd in the division with a record of 9-7 and is trying to repeat what they did both the two years previous winning the NFC West consecutively. I do believe the Rams are going to start to decline at some point this season and I do think that they won’t be a contender to win the division. However, I do think they should have a higher Madden 21 rating just because it is way to low.

Madden 21 opened the Los Angeles Rams at a 78 overall, which in my eyes is way to low. There have only been two games played so far, but both of their wins were very nice and well-executed wins and they played better than a team rated 78 overall. Given the recent success in 2017 and 2018 you would think that EA Sports would have given them the benefit of the doubt and at least start them off at a 80 team overall. To make matters worse they even opened up Madden 21 with an Offensive Overall of 74. I think what EA Sports needs to do is reevaluate their decision on the Los Angeles Rams and give them a ratings boost on offense which will in turn up boost their team rating. At least until the Rams start to decline for consecutive weeks in a row I think it is time for Madden 21 to boost some of the ratings on the Los Angeles Rams.

Summary

The great thing about video games is that once a video game is released, nothing is set in stone. There are always a way to make updates to the game to make the game better and more fair for all the players. The great things about sport video games is that there are always updates multiple times a month to improve teams and players based on how that team is doing throughout the course of the regular season in real life. During the next in-game update that Madden 21 receives I wouldn’t be shocked to see either of these teams get some sort of ratings boost. If they don’t end up receiving any sort of ratings boost, then these are the teams that really deserve it the most.
