Madden 21 predictions for the Week 2 roster update

Houston Texans
QB Deshaun Watson looked uncomfortable all night against the Kansas City Chiefs defense, resulting in him throwing an interception and taking four sacks. Other throws of his were off balance and ill-placed. It’s hard to say whether he should lose a point from his 85 OVR against the defending Super Bowl champs, but it was an ugly performance considering he has 91 Throw Under Pressure rating. That should take a little hit. Likewise, HB David Johnson looked invigorated with 11 carries for 77 yards and 1 TD, showing off some really nice jukes. I’d like to see his 77 OVR increase and his 84 Juke Move rating go up to about 88.
Indianapolis Colts
I’m torn between lowering the OVR of QB Philip Rivers or raising the OVR of LE Denico Autry. The 76 OVR Autry had two sacks and should be rewarded for that. But it’s hard to look past the two interceptions thrown by 38-year-old QB Philip Rivers (82 OVR) in a game they should have won. Rivers admitted to being a little reckless with the ball, so a point drop in OVR could be in his future.
Jacksonville Jaguars
QB Gardner Minshew II is rated 70 OVR and threw for three TD in the upset win over the Colts. That should undoubtedly raise his OVR. But I was more impressed with 76 OVR rookie CB C.J. Henderson who had 1 INT that shifted momentum in the 2nd quarter, and he also got a hand on a fourth down pass in the final seconds of the game. Henderson should definitely see an OVR increase alongside Minshew.
Tennessee Titans
79 OVR WR Corey Davis should see an increase to 80 or 81 to match fellow WR A.J. Brown, but the person that needs the most adjusting is 77 OVR Kicker Stephen Gostkowski after missing 3 FG and an XP. The game against the Broncos should not have come down to the last minute. Though he did make the game winning FG, he was terrible the rest of the game, and it got brought up by announcers during the broadcast whether he could be cut after that performance. I wouldn’t be surprised to see his OVR drop to 74.
