Tua Tagovailoa

Tank for Tua was touch and go there for a while, but the Dolphins managed to still land the quarterback they’ll be building around. Likewise, you’d be smart to build your Madden 21 franchise around the Alabama alumni — the 6’0″, 73 OVR rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa.

Tua has steady ratings all around. He has 81 Speed, 76 Awareness, 88 Throw Power, 86 Short Accuracy, 81 Mid Accuracy and 80 Deep Accuracy. His other ratings like throw on the run and break sack are also in the low 80s. Between Tua and Burrow, you can’t really go wrong with either. Tua will also cost more in a trade, but if you’re playing as the Dolphins, you don’t have to worry about that. Tua is probably the 2nd best QB on this list depending on what you value at the position, and he’s definitely one of the top 10 best quarterbacks in Madden 21 to build around.

Jalen Hurts

The guy that Tua dethroned at Alabama, rookie QB Jalen Hurts comes into Madden 21 with a 68 OVR. While there was talk among scouts in how Hurts’ skills will translate to the NFL, there’s no doubt that Jalen Hurts is a QB that Madden players will love to use.

Hurts features 86 Speed, 89 Acceleration and 88 Change of Direction to go along with 84 Juke Move. His Throw Power is only 84, but his accuracy ratings kind of save that with 83 Short Accuracy, 77 Mid Accuracy and 77 Deep Accuracy. He’s on a very friendly contract, and with Wentz ahead of him on the depth chart, Hurts is a guy you could build around depending on what you’re willing to give up.
