Madden 21: Five teams that you should avoid using
Los Angeles Chargers
There is a good chance that when I say the name Los Angeles Chargers you think of either Joey Bosa or Keenan Allen. That is because those two players are a huge part of the Chargers franchise.
Without Bosa or Allen, the Chargers would be in a bigger hole than they already are. There was a stretch for the Chargers when they were still in San Diego where they won the AFC West from 2006-2009. Those are the Chargers that fans miss. It is kind of unfortunate that they have dropped off so much as of late because they used to be an entertaining team to watch. There were times back in the earlier Madden days where I had matchups against friends where it would be Chargers vs Saints or Chargers vs Steelers, but now in Madden 21, I feel like seeing a Chargers matchup would be more on the rarer side.
It is nice that Joey Bosa and Keenan Allen are both a 91 overall, but as I said about the New York Giants, it is going to take a lot more than just one or two people to lead a team to success. There is a reason why the NFL is a team sport and not an individual sport.
Another nice addition that the Chargers have in Madden 21 is Casey Hayward who is going to be a 90 overall cornerback for them at launch. This will also help team ratings improve a bit. Needless to say, I do not think that it will be an extremely rare occurrence to see someone choose the Los Angeles Chargers in an online game, but it is definitely going to be rarer than it would be in a Madden video game 8-10 years ago.
Summary
It is not always fun to choose the best overall team and use them every game because it is always nice to change it up a bit so things don’t get old. Sometimes you may like a challenge and would like to play as one of the worst teams in the game, but for the sake of trying to win and to boost your odds of winning then I would suggest avoiding using any of the teams on this list. However, in reality, any team is capable of winning no matter how low the overall is. Anything can happen in sports and the same can be said for video games, especially in Madden 21.
