Last chance for Marvel’s Avengers BETA, Fortnite Hulk Smashers Pickaxe

Jump into the Marvel’s Avengers BETA one last time.

Consider this your friendly reminder that today is the last chance you can preview Marvel’s Avengers before its release next month. The final day of the final weekend of Marvel’s Avengers series of BETA tests is today, August 23.

Once again, this is a completely open beta, meaning you don’t’ have to pre-order or play on a specific platform in order to preview the upcoming superhero action RPG. It’s playable on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Also, as another reminder, this is your last chance to snag the Hulk Smashers Pickaxe with bonus Hulkbuster style for Fortnite. After you complete the three HARM Room challenges available in the beta on any difficulty, you simply must connect your Epic account to the account on your console and then your Epic account with your Square Enix account. You’ll then be able to claim this special Marvel-themed pickaxe. And just in time too as the upcoming season in Fortnite looks to be heavily inspired by Marvel.

Although this is your last chance to earn the Hulk Smashers Pickaxe in Fortnite for free, the item will eventually be available for purchase in Fortnite at a later date — likely at some point during Chapter 2, Season 4. Epic has already begun teasing the Marvel crossover event.

Back to Marvel’s Avengers, this is the last weekend of the BETA. It offers a good assortment of single and multiplayer activities, including a slice of the campaign story featuring Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow and Kamala Khan (aka Ms. Marvel). After you complete the prologue, you’ll unlock two additional single-player missions featuring Hulk and Ms. Marvel as well as various co-op activities including the HARM Rooms, wave-based challenges, that unlock the pickaxe. There are also Warzones, Dropzones and more to sample.

Marvel’s Avengers is set to release on September 4, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
