Boston Celtics (3) vs Philadelphia 76ers (6)

Game 1: Philadelphia 76ers 130 – Boston Celtics 113
Game 2: Philadelphia 76ers 97 – Boston Celtics 101
Game 3: Boston Celtics 107 – Philadelphia 76ers 118
Game 4: Boston Celtics 114 – Philadelphia 76ers 107
Game 5: Philadelphia 76ers 119 – Boston Celtics 100
Game 6: Boston Celtics 85 – Philadelphia 76ers 105

Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics in six games to move on (with Ben Simmons playing)

Put an asterisk next to this simulation because it had Ben Simmons playing for the 76ers. In real life, the Sixers will be without Simmons for the entirety of the series after the 23-year-old underwent surgery on his left knee earlier this month.

While his loss will be a big blow for the 76ers in real life, it’s not like he actually contributed much in the simulation on paper. Even playing in the game, it was Joel Embiid who led the team with a whopping 27.8 points and 12.8 rebounds per game.

If the 76ers are to beat the Celtics in real life, they’ll need Embiid to have the kind of series he had in this NBA 2K20 series. Of course, Simmons still averaged 15.5 points per game in our simulation so his contribution can’t be totally ignored.
