Ronald Acuna Jr. (ATL) – Age 22, Overall 94, Potentical A, Contract $8.3M (6 more years at increasing cost)

Even at his most expensive (final year salary is $16.7M), Acuna Jr. is worth it. He is an elite player at age 22 and is a monster hitter and fielder in MLB The Show 2020. Good speed (86), elite arm strength and accuracy (96), and has good hitting ratings running from 77-88. You need to give up a lot for him, but if you’re rich in prospects, or can give up a good player at another position, you can be set at CF for the next 6 years.

Jarred Kelenic (SEA) – Age 20, Overall 65, Potential A, Contract $90K (2 years RNW, 3 years ARB)

I’m still mad at Brodie for trading him. He’s like a mini Mike Trout, with him being compared to Steve Finley and Jim Edmonds. His hitting ratings aren’t good enough for him to start now on a contending team (you can use him in a rebuild), but he’s a top prospect and a future all star CF.

Cameron Maybin (DET) – Age 31, Overall 72, Potential C, Contract $1.8M (Final Year)

Cameron is a nice stand-in, bench piece or platoon candidate, with average hitting, decent fielding and nice speed on the base paths. He’s not gonna light the world on fire, but he can still be a valuable piece on a contending team where you don’t need to rely on him to be a big hitting contributor. That said, he bats .308 for me.

Roman Quinn (PHI) – Age 26, Overall 70, Potential B, Contract $584K (1 year RNW, 3 years ARB)

He’s not a good hitter but he’s a helluva bunter (99 bunt and drag bunt). Quinn is a really great defensive outfielder if that’s what you’re looking for. He has 96 speed and 87 arm strength.

Luis Robert (CHIW) – Age 22, Overall 72, Potential A, Contract $5.8M (5 more years at increasing cost)

Though he’s only rated 72 and it’s hard to imagine the contract he has at that rating, Luis Robert is fast and can develop into a really nice starter, worthy of that value. He’s not easy to trade for, but you can get creative in what you give up.

Mallex Smith (SEA) – Age 26, Overall 71, Potential B, Contract $2.3M (2 years ARB)

Smith is a great choice for a leadoff hitter. While is contact is only 62 vs R and 76 vs L, his speed (86) and stealing (96) make him a nice trade piece. Overall, contract and potential make him attainable.
