Shortstop

Tim Anderson (CHIW) – Age 26, Overall 77, Potential B, Contract $3.6M (2 years at increasing cost)

Tim Anderson is a great 2B hitter value in the game. He’s under control for three seasons totaling $12.6M, all while sporting hitting ratings of 93 vs R and 94 vs L.

Carlos Correa (HOU) – Age 25, Overall 85, Potential A, Contract $8M (1 year ARB)

Correa is difficult to trade for, but you’re getting one of the best all around SS in the game, and you’ll get two total seasons of him with this trade. His durability is scary at 69, but he’s a great fielder (97 arm strength) and can hit for contact vs L (89) and power vs R (85).

Tommy Edman (STL) – Age 24, Overall 78, Potential B, Contract $584K (2 years RNW, 3 years ARB)

Edman can play every positions except catcher and 1B, and is under team control for cheap for the extended future. He’s a decent hitter and a good all around fielder, making him great for a rebuild as a starter, or a great super utility or bench guy on a contending team.

Didi Gregorius (PHI) – Age 30, Overall 75, Potential C, Contract $14M (Final Year)

The contract isn’t great, but Gregorius is easy to trade for and sports solid ratings in both hitting and fielding. He also can play 2B and 3B, so if you can take on the contract, he is a good substitute for an injured player.

Jose Iglesias (BAL) – Age 30, Overall 77, Potential C, Contract $3M (Final Year)

An underrated player, Iglesias can hit (68 vs R, 74 vs L) and is an excellent fielder (83 fielding, 77 arm accuracy, 84 reaction). It’s a friendly rental contract and he’s not hard to trade for if you’re in the market for a SS.

Fernando Tatis Jr. (SD) – Age 21, Overall 86, Potential A, Contract $584K (1 year RNW, 3 years ARB)

Good luck trading for him — it’ll take a lot. But what you get is the new big star of MLB. He’s a fantastic all around hitter and an excellent fielder that features nice speed as well (84 speed). He’ll be the star of your lineup for the foreseeable future. But you’ll most likely have to take a terrible contract from SD when trading for Tatis Jr.
