Animal Companions

One of the coolest things in Breath of the Wild was, unfortunately, tucked away behind one of the harder to find Amiibos. Not dogging Amiibos, I personally love them. But if you had the rare “Wolf Link” Amiibo, it would give you an item like the other ones would and it would also summon the massive Wolf Link to your side. It would not only fight enemies alongside you but also help you find nearby items and temples.

And despite being a thing that only select people could access, it was incredibly well programmed. It worked well. It would keep up with you at full speed on horseback, wait for you to attack, had its own health gauge, and just looked like it was supposed to be there.

With Breath of the Wild 2, let’s give everyone a little bit of that joy. Obviously not everyone is going to have the Wolf Link Amiibo, (or even harder to find, a Wolf Link Amiibo with a save file from Twilight Princess HD that allows the wolf to have more health) so save him for the Amiibo people. But give us other creatures. Those bears we could ride, warthogs, new creatures for the sequel.
