Which point guards will be among the best in NBA 2K21?

As many of you already know, the NBA season was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year was shaping up to be an exciting one with a mixture of old and new talent clashing on the courts.

The NBA season is looking like it is going to be returning to play on July 30th. If that happens, then everyone can enjoy some basketball and root for some of their favorite teams to win the NBA Championship in what has shaped up to be a rather weird year. Regardless of what happens, we always have video games to look forward which allow fans to be a part of the game.

Damian Lillard was just announced as one of three cover athletes to grace the cover of NBA 2K21 this year. In honor of Damian Lillard being a point guard, I wanted to take a look at the current NBA landscape and predict who will be among the best point guards when NBA 2K21 releases.

Stephen Curry

I am sure many of you already knew that Steph Curry would have made this list. He was the top rated point guard in NBA 2K20 with a 95 overall and a 99 3PT shooting stat. It is nearly impossible for Steph Curry to not be featured as a top five point guard in NBA 2K21.

Curry is an overall great shooter and one of the best players in the NBA today. While I do not consider him the absolute best player in the league, there are a select few that would argue my statement.

Being a point guard, you have to be very aware with what players are on the court and whose (if not yourself) hands you should get the ball into. That is exactly what makes Steph Curry such a great player. If it is not him taking the shot he is most likely going to feed a perfect pass into the hands of someone that is open with the best shot of making a basket.

It’s a shame that a broken hand limited Curry to just five games this season. The injury was a major reason as to why the Golden State Warriors only managed to muster up 15 wins in 65 games. If Stephen Curry manages to stay healthy next season the Warriors should at least be able to come up with a few more wins than they did this year. Nonetheless, Steph Curry will most likely be the highest rated point guard in NBA 2K21.
