Personalize your content with custom art

I’ve talked about this a bunch already on this site and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. There’s ways where you can add real photos and custom art to your home quite easily and it’s an excellent way to get your personality and a bit of you out there in your town.

In my writing room, in real life, my office is filled with posters. I wanted my writing room in game to reflect this so I found a bunch of cool artwork other people had made to add to my walls.

For the main room, however, I wanted to make it very personal so I added real pictures of me, my wife and my two kids. I had them up in the past but I wanted to make it more prominent so people got a real glimpse into my life when they came to see me. So I made sure to change the layout of them so it was the first thing you saw in my home. I liked the outcome.

All these things in conjunction helped make my island something I could be very proud of and it breathed a lot of life into a game I was worried was starting to feel stale, especially after completing the month-long wedding event in less than two weeks.

Give these a try! Even better yet, take my advice, try this for yourself, and then let me know what you did and how it went! I’d love to see your ideas.
