Call of Duty: Warzone needs a Duos playlist ASAP
Call of Duty: Warzone needs to add a Duos game mode playlist as soon as possible. It currently has BR Solos, BR Trios, BR Quads.
Since the release of Call of Duty: Warzone, there has yet to be a normal Duos mode for the battle royale game. While there has been a Duos option for plunder, it has not made its way over to the Battle Royale portion of the game.Plunder Duos was nice, but nothing beats the traditional game mode that started it all. So why hasn’t Infinity Ward done this?
There is nothing more frustrating than trying to play Call of Duty: Warzone with just two people. You either have to play Trios or Quads with fill or no fill on. Both options put you at a disadvantage.
The fill option allows for people who don’t have enough players to fill up an entire team to fill the team with random players playing Warzone who are also looking for a full squad. Let’s be honest here, most people, myself included, would rather just play Trios with two people that they know rather than adding a random third. There is a simple fix to this problem Infinity Ward, just add a Duos game mode.
Battle Royale video games like Fortnite, PUBG, and even Apex all have a regular two man game mode, so why can’t Call of Duty: Warzone be the same way? It is not like adding a Duos game mode would hurt the game in any way, shape, or form. In fact, it might attract more players to overall game. Most people do research before they play any games, unless you are like me who just dives into games blindly because they look cool. However, for gamers who do end up doing some kind of research, not having Duos can be a huge turn off.
Having a Trios game mode was a wild move from Infinity Ward since not many battle royale games have that option. It ended up paying off big time.. Trios has been so much fun to play and I think more Battle Royale video games should follow Call of Duty and add a normal three team game mode. That being said, that doesn’t mean deprive gamers of playing a Battle Royale classic gaming option, in a two person game mode.
Some gamers have suggested that it can be from the 150 player cap that Warzone exhibits. Others have said that the map might be too big for 75 teams of two players. I have to disagree with both of those things. Every battle royale video game that I have ever played had some sort of circle that increasingly gets smaller as the game progresses. Too many players or a map being too big are instantly wiped by having that circle. Players are still going to be able to find other players because of having to run to the new circles.

The 150 players excuse doesn’t hold up either because, theoretically, if there were 75 two-man teams that played the Trios game mode with no Fill option selected, it would essentially be like there was a Duos mode to begin with.
I am not the only one who wants something like this either. Twitter is filled with gamers who are constantly trying to get Infinity Ward to add it to their game. The Twitter account Call of Duty Modern Warfare News, which has over 300K followers, also got in with this debate. They posted a picture on Twitter with the caption “RT if you want Duos.” That tweet exploded for over 5.3K Retweets. It is no secret that fans want this new mode added to the game as much as I do.
Even if Infinity Ward wants to test the waters and just add it temporarily, then just do that for now. With all the other temporary game modes that have been added to the game so far, another one is destined to come so let’s hope that it ends up being Duos. Hopefully, down the line it would end up being permanent, but I will suffice with baby steps for now and take it even as a temporary mode.
